Was looking at adding weather station instruments to Smoothie. Weems & Plath seems to be the biggest name in this area. Their reviews are not any better than some of the other brands. However, W&P are very expensive. I entertain any information/reviews anyone may have on these devices in any brand is welcome.

Thanks Mark. From what I see, W&P is the goto for these type instruments. Most are brass and brass doesn’t match the rest of the boat. The Admiral is big on this so I am looking for a set of chrome instruments. W&P go for $175 each and up. I have found some Fischer Maritime, Maximum, Tabic, and Master-Mariner but don’t know much about them. I have seen prices on these from about $120 each piece to $3000 for the set of 3. I want a good set but don’t want to pay for a name.
CJ take a look at the Chelsea line. Quality is every bit as good as W&P and they have a nickel finish line as well as black (although it is a plastic housing). Also check out Sexton’s used merchandise rooms for deals.
Chelsea is good but they are very pricey. I did check out Sexton’s but currently they don’t have anything right now but I will keep checking. Good suggestion. Since we are not heading south for a few years I have time.
