The Corinthian Yacht Club has kindly offered a clinic about the Pacific Northwest Offshore Race. Below is the announcement for the clinic.
Planning on participating in the 2023 Pacific Northwest Offshore Race (nee Oregon Offshore International Yacht Race), or thinking about it, or just curious? If so, the Corinthian Yacht Club, which sponsors the race, is holding a talk at Rose City Yacht Club on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 1000 hrs to about noon. There is no charge, of course, and all are welcome regardless of yacht club membership.
The race, which goes from Buoy 2 just outside the Columbia Bar to Victoria, BC, a total of 193 nm, starts on Thursday, May 11, 2013. Participants range from serious racers to cruisers. Depending on wind and sea state and how fast one’s boat is, most boats usually finish sometime on Saturday. Then, it all ends at lunch on Sunday with an awards BBQ at the beautiful Royal Victoria Yacht Club.
CYC hopes that it can answer your questions, calm your concerns, provide some guidance with your preparations, or at least further pique your interest. We hope to see you there.
Should anyone need a gate code for them selves or their crew, please, let me know. I will provide one before the clinic.
Please let me know if you are attending.
