I am following up on Darren’s email about the upcoming RCYC Fly Your Flag Beer Can. As Darren mentioned, lets meet at 1530 hrs at he club house.
Beer cans are fun races that give us an excuse to get out on the water. No body really cares about how you finish, just that you have a good time.
My hope is to have all the potential crew and skippers come together before the beer can so that boats can be crewed and skippers can have crew. I enjoy sailing with others, and this is an opportunity to sail with people on your boat, or go out on someone else’s boat.
Not ready to take your boat out? No problem; you will most probably get a spot on some one else’s boat.
Additionally, should you be interested in learning how to race, or want an experienced person on your boat to help out, this is an excellent opportunity.
Meeting should take about 15 minutes, then off to prep boats and arrive around the start area just before 1700 for the start of the sequence.
Weather looks good. 25% chance of rain, wind out of the SW at 8 and temps in the mid 60’s! Perfect. Come on out and play.
